The Shelton Basket Co. was located in Shelton, Connecticut. They made picnic baskets of drawn ash splint. Some of the baskets were sold with oak runners and woven ash or plywood lids fastened with brass hardware. The rims were nailed splint. Handles were fixed in some and swinging in others. Some baskets were sold with complete service for four with beetle ware tumblers and plates, stainless steel knives and forks and siver plated spoons.

The company also sold a Down East Pie basket with three compartments for carrying your pies to a church supper. Cake baskets, flower baskets, hampers, magazine baskets and work baskets were available.

The Connecticut Historical Society has original copies of Shelton Basket Co. catalogs in their collection.
