Can someone use live willow stems?

I am a collector of native plant materials for the reclamation industry and native plant nurseries. I have recently recieved an order for Sandbar Willow (Salix exigua) for a reclamation project. I use the large stakes from 1/2 to 1" in diameter. As a result, I have thousands of small stems or whips that are going to go to waste unless I find someone who can use them. These live or green stems are a light reddish or purple color (Salix exigua). Stems can be provided in many diameters from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch at the base. Length generally from 2-3 feet each. Though not as many, I also have red osier dogwood (dark reddish purple), peach leaf willow, aspen, and others. Availablility Nov thru March.

Say 4 cents per stem plus shipping. You can check the UPS website but I think it would be about $6 shipping. So if you are interested, you probably want to order by the larger quantities (100 stems). If you know of a more cost effective way to ship, please let me know. Or if you are driving through the Ellensburg, WA area, you can just pick them up. They can also be picked up in Tacoma and Yakima as I am driving through those towns on occassion.

I am a botanist, so if there is any other native plant material you need for wicker or basketry or any other hobbies, just give me a hollar. I should be able to provide willow and aspen bark if it is monitarily profitable for me. Send me an email. Talk at me.
